Pop-up International Book Club at Mørkhøj Library

If you are interested in reading English literature, this might be something for you!

Do you want to share your love of books and become part of a reading community? Join the book club at Mørkhøj Library.

The book club starts with an introductory meeting where a librarian provides practical information and gives advice on how to discuss books. The library supplies the books for the book club so there is no need to go out and buy them.

This first pop-up book club has three books which all questioning our past, present and future, and how we see and experience life. They are all in the genre of speculative fiction, such as alternative reality. 

If you are interested in becoming part of a book club, which reads books in languages other than Danish, join this new pop-up book club. We meet three times during this fall 2026.

Dates:

Thursdays at 3pm-6pm at Mørkhøj Library in the meeting room:

October 22nd – Introductory meeting and discuss Kindred by Octavia E. Butler

November 26th – What we can know by Ian McEwan

December 17th – Yesteryear by Caro Claire Butler

Registration deadline: September 20th

After the registration deadline you’ll receive an e-mail concerning when the first book can be picked up at the library. 

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is room for 8 participants in the book club. Registration is personal, and it is not possible to register on behalf of others.
